After several huge number of criticism, a Vietnam based game developer Dong Nguyen will take off and will never flapped his bird again.
Dong Nguyen recently posted in his twitter account earlier today that he will pulling out from iOS App Store and Google Play Store as early as today. He also added that he didn't sell Flappy Bird and will continue to make games. The game developer's decision comes one day after the title was updated to include new birds, refreshes graphics and its User Interface elements.
I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hour from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore.”
Nguyen said earlier this week he did not want attention from the media – he tweeted, “Press people are overrating the success the success of my games. It is something I never want. Please give me peace.”
He also tweeted – “I can call 'Flappy Birds' is a success of mine. But it also ruins my simple life. So now I hate it.” “ It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore.”
His decision to take it down seems to stem from the popularity and people's complaints about it. His announcement makes me surprise, considering it came just a day after a new game update that included new birds and UI tweaks. Flappy Bird has been downloaded over 50 million times and it making at about 50,000USD in ad revenue per day. That is why, the game become a most popular downloaded game apps in iOS App Store and Google Play Store in a recent day.
Flappy Bird is just a silly boring hard game, with a simple graphic and mechanic by tapping the screen to continue to fly and crossed as many as pipe as you can without hitting the pipes. But is not just as simple as that, you should gain extra focus, accuracy before you master the game. Though, the games is so hard for me and lot of people likes the game because they challenges their capacity of the game. There is no something wrong with the game. Just a game, it always a game.
