A reliable tipster @evleaks published their tweets the press image of the red Google Nexus 5 on his Twitter account. With an image with the simple statement: “Google Nexus 5, in red, by LG.” In it, the back of the smartphone has been treated to the new color, whereas the front is all black save for the red accent on the earpiece.
The red Google Nexus 5 has already appeared in blurry images from Vietnamese websites, internal listing from Sprint, multiple leaked shots of the box, and more. And according to Android Policeclaims that the leaked internal documents from Sprint hints that the red Nexus 5 might not be launched on the carrier.
With no official confirmation as of yet, the red Nexus 5 is purported to launch on Tuesday February 4 via the Google Play Store. It shouldn't be a long wait before the device goes official.
According to rumors Google could make the Nexus 5 available in up eight colors with the standard black and white options to be joined by orange, yellow, green, blue and purple offerings.
Aside from its respray, it’s doubtful the red Nexus 5 will differ in specs from the original, with a 5-inch, 1080p Full HD display, quad-core processor and the company’s latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
