Sony has announced its new color variants for their SmartWatch 2 model at Mobile World Congress later this month, a silver plated metal that resembles a typical stylish watch edition and a FIFA World Cup 2014 edition.
Brazil’s vibrant colors as the 20th quadrennium rendition of this huge sporting event will be taking place over there. The wrist strap is made of fabric, which is a bit different than what we normally see from smartwatch manufacturers.
The SmartWatch 2 is water resistant (IP57) offers a 1.6 inch transflective LCD screen with 220x176 pixels
The specifications on these new models of the Sony SmartWatch 2 are expected to remain the same as the existing model and the device connects to your smartphone or tablet via NFC.
The second is the Silver metal edition, which as the name suggests comes with a silver metal strap. It is similar to the metal black strap that the SmartWatch 2 launched with. At this stage, we don’t know whether Sony plans to launch these straps separately.
These two new versions of the Sony SmartWatch 2 will apparently launch in March, so we can expect to see the device at MWC 2014 later this month.
